The Victoria College Community Garden Club is the group involved with organizing, creating, and taking care of the community garden here at Vic! We aim to create a healthy, sustainable garden with plenty of herbs, vegetables, fruit, and flowers, created by volunteers and maintained by volunteers. We also promote environmentally conscious food choices, and we will soon be starting up a vermiculture system at Vic – composting with worms!
Our plot is located behind Bowles Gandier House (between Vic and St. Mike’s). We are always recruiting members. We’re looking for people who would like to help dig the beds, take care of seedlings, and help organize (executive members). No experience is necessary, but if you do have mad garden skills you’re more then welcome to come and share them with the club! If you would like to become involved, please send us an email at c-garden@vusac.ca, and we’ll add you to the email list. Green thumbs up!
These adorable plant seedlings will one day grow up to be big strong plants in our lovely garden! Tomatoes, Nicotania, St. John’s Wort and Sage.
