Close to half of all food produced worldwide is wasted, whether it be through transport, sales, preparation, or serving. Even though Burwash Dining Hall avoids some food waste by allowing students to serve themselves (rather than be given an amount they won’t eat) I’m still shocked at the amount of food that is left uneaten. If you notice you’re letting a lot of food go down that conveyer belt untouched, maybe rethink the portions you serve yourself. Reducing food waste is an easy way to lead a healthier, more environmentally-friendly life. The link below shows some more handy tips!
